Farfalle with Tomato Alfredo

8 servings 1 cup each

Ingredients

  • 1 package farfalle (12 ounce) uncooked
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 3/4 cups (14 ounce can) whole tomatoes, undrained and finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Cook pasta according ot package directions.

Meanwhile, in large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add tomatoes with juice and seasonings; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes.

Add half and half; heat just to boiling, stirring frequeltly.

Remove from heat; stir in cheese until thoroughly blended.

Toss hot pasta and sauce
